Creamy Parmesan Garlic Mushrooms

This recipe is incredibly delicious! I made it for a family dinner and my adult daughter just kept taking spoonful after spoonful!

 

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ cup butter
  • 16 ounces of sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 2 cups heavy cream or half and half
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Sauté the sliced mushrooms with the garlic in the butter.
  2. Remove the mushrooms.
  3. Thicken the sauce by whisking in the corn starch to make a roux.
  4. Whisk in the vegetable broth and heavy cream stirring occasionally over low to medium heat until thick.
  5. Add parmesan cheese, pepper and salt.
  6. Add the mushrooms back to the sauce and serve over pasta or rice if desired.
